CALL FOR PAPERS

ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

 

You are invited to submit your 200-word abstract to the 6th Annual AAFT Conference 2019, which will be held from 8 – 9 July 2019. Your presentation can take the form of sharing a completed or ongoing research, or a sharing of your clinical experiences in your practice context.

 

Please submit your presentation plan to AAFT.SciComm@aitiafi.com on or before 15 March 2019.

 

Topics of interest for submission include, but ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Use of spirituality with specific clientele groups;

  • Practice research on spirituality;

  • Spiritual connections using different mediums – music, poetry, stories, meditation;

  • Spiritual wisdom from different faiths influencing therapeutic practice;

  • Inter-faith practices;

  • Cultural and religious practices in family therapy practice;

  • Understanding spiritual practices/ideas of specific communities;

  • Engaging spirituality in addressing specific clientele issues eg. Suicide, violence etc.

Your presentation can be in one of these THREE formats:

 

1) Brief Presentation 

  • 30 minutes:  20 minutes presentation, followed by 10 minutes of Q & A;

2) Poster Presentation 

  • Size of the panel is 85 cm wide, and 200 cm high;

3) Case Study Presentation

  • 90 minutes: 20 minutes presentation, 30 minutes reflective dialogue, followed by 25 minutes group discussion and 15 minutes of Q & A.

 

Presenters will be allocated a presentation slot in the conference schedule by the Conference organising  committee. Presenters for poster presentation will be presenting at a designated time slot over the two-day conference event.

 

DEADLINE FOR ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS:

15 MARCH 2019

 

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Conference Scientific Committee who may request the author to rewrite, change the presentation category, or decline the presentation.

 

Should your presentations be selected, please note that all conference expenses are self-borne.
